Kids Petrol Buggy: rugged and safe for off-road adventures

Browse our range of petrol kids buggies, from 80cc to 125cc, for a four-wheel off-road experience combining stability and genuine fun. Unlike a quad, a kids buggy offers a secure seated riding position with seatbelt and roll cage — a reassuring choice for both parents and young riders. For private land use only.

Which kids buggy to choose?

  • GoKid 80cc petrol: compact, reliable Lifan engine, ideal for an easy introduction to buggies.
  • Buggy 98cc Gokid: more power for kids already comfortable riding.
  • Gokart Buggy 125cc: the top model, for a complete and sporty riding experience.
  • Forest PRM 212cc automatic: automatic transmission, maximum riding comfort.

For a two-wheel alternative, browse our kids motocross category or our kids ATV range.

Buggy or kids ATV: what's the difference?

A kids buggy differs from an ATV thanks to its enclosing bodywork, seatbelt, and seated riding position with pedals (throttle and brake), similar to a car. This setup generally puts parents' minds at ease and suits children just starting out with off-road riding particularly well.

Safety: the essentials

All our buggies come equipped with a seatbelt and roll cage. Helmet, gloves and protective gear are still recommended, even though the bodywork offers extra protection compared to an ATV. Adult supervision is required at all times. Browse our helmets.

At what age can a child drive a petrol buggy?

Our petrol buggies are generally suitable from age 6-7 for the 80cc models, and up to age 10-12 for the more powerful models (125cc). The deciding factor remains the child's ability to correctly operate the throttle and brake pedals while maintaining control of the steering wheel.

Manual or automatic: which transmission to choose?

For a child new to buggies, an automatic transmission (like on the Forest PRM 212cc) greatly simplifies driving: no gear management, full focus on steering and terrain. A manual or semi-automatic gearbox suits already experienced children looking for a more technical driving experience.

Maintaining a petrol kids buggy

Regular maintenance includes: engine oil changes (10W-40), air filter cleaning, spark plug checks, tyre pressure and brake inspection. All common parts are available in our parts section.
