A petrol motocross bike for kids offers unlimited range (as long as the tank is full), an authentic engine sound, and a riding experience identical to an adult's — just scaled down. It's the preferred choice for future amateur racers who want to train regularly on circuit.

2-stroke or 4-stroke: which engine for a kids motocross bike?

Small displacements (49cc) are typically 2-stroke: lighter, punchier, but require a petrol-oil mix. From 70-110cc, 4-stroke becomes common: simpler maintenance (petrol only), smoother riding — recommended for beginners.

What motocross size for your child's height?

As with quads, seat height should let your child touch the ground with their tiptoes. For ages 6-7, choose a 10" wheel; for ages 8-9, a 12" wheel; and from age 10, a 14" wheel like the Drizzel URX 125cc.

Maintaining a petrol motocross bike for kids
