Tricia 300cc Platin : the T3B road legal ATV 300cc for demanding adults

The road legal ATV 300cc Tricia Platin by Nitro Motors is built for enthusiasts who want to ride legally on public roads without sacrificing genuine off-road capability. Approved under T3B (European standard), it can be registered and ridden on public roads with a B driving licence — insured like any motor vehicle. Its EFI 300cc 4-stroke engine (17 kW), automatic CVT transmission with reverse gear and integrated tow hitch make it equally useful for light work and leisure. Browse our full range of adult ATVs.

road legal ATV 300cc Tricia Platin T3B overview

EFI 300cc engine 17 kW and automatic CVT : the most versatile road legal ATV 300cc

The Tricia Platin is powered by a 300cc 4-stroke fuel-injected (EFI) engine producing 17 kW, paired with an automatic CVT transmission in two modes (Low "L" for difficult terrain and climbs, High "H" for road and higher speeds). No clutch to manage. The electric starter, integrated reverse gear and top speed of 60 km/h (T3B-compliant) make it attractive for riders of all levels. Tank 5 litres, estimated consumption 3–4 L/100 km.

T3B approval and LED lighting : your 300cc ATV legal on open roads

The Tricia Platin holds T3B approval — it can be registered, insured and ridden on public roads with a B driving licence across the EU. Its road equipment is complete: LED headlight with daytime running lights (DRL), side indicators, LED tail light, horn, wide mirrors and alarm with 2 remote controls. The digital LCD dashboard displays speed, RPM, mileage and fuel level in real time. Discover our approved helmets.

Independent suspension and hydraulic disc brakes : safety and comfort on every terrain

The Tricia Platin features at the front dual independent shock absorbers (width 860 mm) absorbing terrain irregularities while maintaining optimal stability. At the rear, a progressive adjustable mono-shock delivers 200 mm ground clearance. Braking is handled by hydraulic disc brakes front (handlebar control) and hydraulic disc brakes rear (foot control). All-terrain tyres 24×8-12 (front) and 24×10-12 (rear). 2-year manufacturer warranty included.

Tow hitch and shaft drive : your road legal ATV 300cc as a utility vehicle too

What sets the Tricia Platin apart: its integrated tow hitch and shaft drive (Shaft Drive) — no chain to lubricate — delivering smooth power transfer and optimal traction even in mud. The hitch enables towing of light material (farm trailer, small equipment) within the 200 kg payload limit. Front and rear luggage racks (with passenger backrest) provide additional storage. Footpeg-to-seat distance: 430 mm.

1. Is this 300cc ATV road-legal in Europe?
Yes. The Tricia Platin holds T3B approval (European standard), allowing it to be registered and ridden on public roads with a B driving licence across the EU. Third-party liability insurance and registration are mandatory. The EEC certificate of conformity is supplied at delivery and required for registration. No MOT is required for vehicles under 400 kg.
2. What is the top speed? Can it be derestricted?
Top speed is 60 km/h, in line with T3B regulations. The ATV is factory-set to comply with this legal limit. Any derestriction exceeding this limit would be illegal for road use and would void the approval. For exclusively off-road use, other non-homologated models are available.
3. Is the automatic CVT transmission reliable off-road?
Yes. The Tricia Platin's CVT is designed for both uses: Low (L) mode for climbs, descents and technical terrain (more torque, less speed), High (H) mode for road and easy terrain. Reliability: check the CVT belt every 2,000 km and replace it if cracked. The integrated reverse gear is particularly useful in difficult terrain.
4. Is this ATV suitable for beginners?
Yes, particularly thanks to: automatic CVT transmission (no clutch management), electric start, two drive modes, and the stability of the independent suspension (860 mm width). The 17 kW output is manageable. Tip: practise first on flat ground to get familiar with the thumb throttle and braking system.
5. Can you tow a trailer with this ATV?
Yes. The Tricia Platin comes with a tow hitch as standard. Recommended towing load: light trailers within the 200 kg payload limit. Check local regulations — trailers above 750 kg total weight may require their own registration. Always ensure balanced load distribution to avoid tipping risk.
6. What is the range with the 5-litre tank?
At an estimated consumption of 3–4 L/100 km (EFI 300cc engine in mixed use), range is approximately 120–160 km. In intensive off-road or Low mode, consumption can rise to 5–6 L/100 km. Tip: carry a spare fuel container for long-distance outings, especially in remote areas without accessible filling stations.
7. What maintenance does this road legal ATV require?
Regular recommended maintenance: every 1,000 km → oil change (10W-40 semi-synthetic) + brake check. Every 500 km → air filter cleaning (more often in dusty terrain), tyre pressure check (20–22 PSI). Every 2,000 km → CVT belt inspection. Annually → 12V battery and electrical connections. Keep maintenance receipts for the warranty.
8. Can accessories be fitted (winch, luggage rack, windshield)?
Yes. The Tricia Platin's frame is compatible with many aftermarket accessories: winch (up to 1,500 kg, specific mounting kit on front frame), additional luggage rack (standard rear mounts), windshield for road comfort, heated grips, engine skid plate for intensive off-road use. Note: certain accessories modifying the vehicle's characteristics may require an update to the registration document. Contact us for more information.
